libreoffice-math software package provides office productivity suite -- equation editor, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libreoffice-math
libreoffice-math is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libreoffice-math package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libreoffice-math *
You will get with libreoffice-math package name, version, architecture and description in a table
